Step aboard the MS Serenissima for unforgettable cruises to Spitsbergen's west coast. This Arctic cruise ship seamlessly blends the charm of a classic ocean liner with modern amenities. Originally built as the Harald Jarl for Hurtigruten in 1960 at Trondhjems mekaniske Værksted (TMV), the vessel has been renovated over the years. It was most recently refurbished in 2019, preserving its history while ensuring a comfortable cruising experience. With a capacity for 103 guests, the MS Serenissima offers an intimate, relaxing atmosphere on Arctic circle cruises.

Out on deck, thanks to MS Serenissima being a small ship, you come extra close to the untouched nature of the Polar Arctic, and with roofs over a lot of the deck space you can enjoy being outside, even in rough weather. MS Serenissima has 7 decks, and is equipped with a restaurant and bar/café lounge and a panorama lounge with a library. The ship has in total 50 cabins. Thanks to its maximum capacity of 103 passengers it will be a very unique and personal experience.

There is no entertainment on board since the focus is on exploration and relaxation. There is an expedition team on board that will give information on the route and interesting sights and wildlife sightings, as well as hold lectures (in English/German/Norwegian/French, on some cruises also in Italian). There is a TV in the cabins, but the TV only shows the front camera of the vessel. There are no telephones in the cabins. Mobile coverage is given in Longyearbyen but not during the rest of the cruise. There is no Wifi on board.
