Korouma is a beautifully rugged destination in Southern Finnish Lapland, less than a couple of hours from Rovaniemi. This long crack of bedrock, which is hundreds of millions of years old, hosts some spectacular waterfalls which freeze over the winter months offering a magical experience to those who visit.
Once you meet the guide in the morning you will head to Korouoma Gorge in Posio, where the mightiest ice falls in Finland are located – some up to 60 meters tall! This moderately easy hiking tour is intended for an adventurous mind.
You do not need any previous experience or any special equipment – only warm clothes, sturdy shoes and a sense of an adventure and the photo camera! The professional photographer guide will show you the best spots to capture the best photos. During the trip you will walk for about 5 kilometres over varied terrain and have a picnic lunch by an open fire.

Local wilderness/photography guide for the 5 km walk through the Korouma National Park area, hot drinks, picnic around a campfire with light lunch and storytelling, 10-15 photos from the tour sent to you afterwards, return transfer from Rovaniemi city centre hotels and close to Santa Claus Village.
Please note that an additional transfer fee will be charged for stays at Apukka Resort or Vaattunki Wilderness Lodge.
Special conditions: A minimum 2 participants. If travelling alone, you can still book this experience as there might be other travellers participating. Please note that there are ascends and decends during the hike.
