Embark on a 4 hour journey (depending on weather conditions) on a modern hybrid-electric boat where the serene beauty of snow-capped mountains and icy waters awaits for you. Upon departure from Bodø, you will first head through Hovdsundet towards Mjelle beach. Mjelle beach is the most photographed beach in Bodø due to several reasons. During the spring, the island is home to birds nesting and sheep freely roaming the surrounding hills. During summer, the hills reflect of the crystal water leaving a picture perfect moment. If lucky, you wll even see some sea Eagles!
Upon arrival in Kjerringøy, you will then step on land and take a 10 minute walk through the lush forest to Kjerringøy handelssted. Here you will have 1 to 1,5 hours at leisure to explore. The 19th century trading post has several well preserved buildings, including but not limited to some rare old wooden boats. There is also an open air museum and you can role play how life was like 200 years ago.
