From Saariselkä, take part in this family-friendly experience filled with Christmas spirit. Bake gingerbread cookies, visit Santa’s reindeer, and enjoy a magical encounter with Santa himself.
Children of all ages will feel the magic of the Searching for Santa experience as an Elf guides you throughout the various Christmas activities.
First, you will attend a relaxed gingerbread baking lesson in your host’s turf house before going outside to make a new friend of Santa’s flying reindeer. Wander in forest of the Northern Lights Village area on a sleigh drawn by your new friend. As you can imagine, the reindeer only flies on Christmas night, so for now, enjoy the snowy ground by day or night.
Then, embark on a heated sleigh seat with your Elf guide and look around to find Santa’s secret cabin. Be assured that, if you find the secret place, Santa will welcome your family and spend some time with you. Eventually, he might even offer you a symbolical gift.

Guiding in English, thermal clothing (overalls, boots & mittens), gingerbread baking & crafts, meeting the reindeer and a short 10-minute sleigh ride, short ride in the snowy forest on heated sleigh pulled by a snowmobile, meeting Santa Claus in his cabin for approximately 10 minutes, symbolical gift.
Weather dependent: All outdoor activities are weather dependent and may be cancelled or replaced by more suitable alternatives should the conditions prevent the tour from running as planned. A full refund will be made for activities cancelled by the supplier due to weather conditions.
