Join this 10-hour full day excursion through rugged landscapes and ancient cultures all the way to the North Cape!
On this full day excursion you will experience everything the iconic north has to offer. It is more than only a sightseeing trip – it’s a journey that takes you to one of the northernmost edges of the world through dramatic and harsh landscapes while giving you glimpses of ancient cultures and settlements.
The 3,5-hour drive per way from Alta to the North Cape takes you past towering fjords, rugged coastlines and fishing villages which still per today hold an important part of Norwegian culture. During certain months, it is almost guaranteed to spot countless reindeer herds standing along the roadside. It is also possible to see sea eagles soaring above the cliffs, all year round.
Once at the North Cape, you will have two hours at leisure where you can walk around, take photos and explore the museums. Along the way, the guide will share captivating stories about the history, culture and legends of the region. You learn about how the fishermen have lived, the importance of king crabs in the north and more importantly the many traditions of the indigenous Sami people.
