Surrounded by fresh air, colourful landscapes, and local traditions, you will experience Finland as many Finns do. It is no surprise that forests feel like a second home to Finns, around 75 percent of the country is covered by woodland. Spending free time in nature is an important part of Finnish culture, especially in autumn when the forests are filled with berries and mushrooms ready to be picked.
After a short transfer from the hotel, you will head into the forest with your guide and follow easy trails at a relaxed pace. Along the way, take in the sights, scents, and colours of the season while learning about the surrounding nature. In autumn, you may even have the opportunity to taste fresh lingonberries and bilberries straight from the bushes.
Partway through the hike, you will stop at a traditional forest hut, where a campfire will be lit. Enjoy freshly brewed coffee and sweet buns cooked over the open fire while relaxing in the tranquil surroundings. After the break, you will return to the hotel feeling refreshed and connected to nature.
