Experience the majestic wild moose on horseback in the forests surrounding Kiruna. With some luck, you may also have the chance of spotting other wildlife such as reindeers, birds, hares, and foxes in this beautiful winter wonderland.
A bus will take you from the Ice Hotel to the Olefaš Icelandic horse farm in the forests of Kebnekaise, Sweden’s highest mountain range. Upon arrival, you will get brief instructions regarding the day before meeting the horses and learning how to groom, saddle, and bridle your own mount. Now it's time to head into the winter wilderness. Together with your guide, you'll ride through serene snow-covered forests, keeping watch for one of Scandinavia's most iconic animals: the moose. During winter, these quiet woodlands provide excellent opportunities for close encounters with the "King of the Forest".
After the safari, you'll return to the farm to care for your horse before sitting down for a traditional 3-course lunch, accompanied by coffee and tea. A transfer will then take you back to the ICEHOTEL.
