Husky Hike in Tromsø (including transfer)

Hiking is more than just another outdoor activity; it is a great way of clearing your mind and putting things into perspective. On this hike you will journey through birch woods, have lunch around a campfire, and immerse yourself completely into nature, while recharging your mental batteries.

When you arrive at Tromsø Villmarkssenter, you will receive your hiking gear, before you embark on your husky hike with your guide and energetic dogs. Normally, there is one dog per 3-4 participants, because the dogs are very strong and are trained to pull.

After the hike, you will be served a hot lunch in a traditional “gamme”, a Sami hut. The lunch is a hot portion of Bacalao, made from locally sourced ingredients and for dessert you will get a piece of chocolate cake. Vegetarian options are available on preliminary request.

After lunch the guide will bring you around the dog yard and tell you more about their operation, life with the dogs and dog sled racing. Additionally, you will get the opportunity to play with the puppies.
