Havila shore excursion from Tromsø: Join this relaxed snowshoe walk among the Arctic landscape and learn about the surrounding nature, traditions and everyday life in Tromsø.
Your guide joins you on the bus ride to the starting point of your adventure. Equipped with modern snowshoes, you easily walk on the snow, experiencing Norway´s frozen winter landscape like a local. In the meantime, you learn about the local lifestyle and traditions.
Indeed, snowshoe walking has been a part of Norwegian culture for a long time as it was originally used daily for hunting and walking in deep snow area. Your guide will lead your through the forest and into a clearing, where you will have a bonfire and can warm yourself by the blaze.
After that, you can hop aboard a toboggan and slide down a snowy hill before returning to the ship.

Clothing: Rental of winter clothing is not included on this excursion. Please wear warm clothes (layers) including a windproof jacket/trousers, hats and mittens, and bring an extra jumper and warm socks in a little backpack for the break.
