Havila shore excursion from Trondheim: Join this approx. 5 km long guided tour of the medieval city of Trondheim. See the highlights of the city and learn about its history.
Discover Norway's first capital, Trondheim in just a few hours! Founded in 997 by Viking king Olav Tryggvason, the medieval city has become an important centre for academic and technical research.
Your guided stroll starts at the harbour from where you will go to Stiftsgården, home of the Norwegian royal family when in Trondheim. From there you will proceed to the market square to see the statue of Olav Tryggvason standing on an 18 meters-high obelisk.
Then you walk to Nidaros Cathedral, Norway’s national shrine and a Gothic masterpiece. You will cross the Nid River over the red-painted Old Town Bridge nicknamed "Lykkens Portal" ("Gate of Happiness") and visit the Bakklandet district, which retains its charming 19th-century wooden architecture.
