Join in on a magical half-day excursion to Fjærland and experience one of the most beautiful fjord arms in Norway, visit the Glacier Museum and the Jostedalen glacier.
Travel by boat along the Fjærlandsfjord to Fjærland, the innermost point of the fjord. Fjærland is called the Norwegian Book Town, and all over the village there are secondhand books in quaint bookshops.
From here you will continue by bus to the Norwegian Glacier Museum where you can learn more about glaciers; the aim of the Norwegian Glacier Museum is to collect, create and communicate knowledge about snow, ice, and glaciers. From the museum, the tour continues up to the Bøyabreen glacier – a branch of Jostedalsbreen glacier. After visiting the glaciers, the bus returns to Fjærland quay and the sightseeing boat takes you back to Balestrand.

This is a non-escorted excursion. This excursion corresponds with the express boat to Bergen. The hotel will bring your luggage to the pier in time for your connecting boat.
Important for departures from Bergen: If you want to book this excursion on the same day that you arrive in Balestrand a change in the itinerary is needed. You would take the bus from Bergen to Vik with photo stops at Tvindefossen waterfall and Storesvingen viewpoint before traveling by boat along the Fjærlandsfjord to Fjærland with the Norwegian Glacier Museum. Your excursions ends in Balestrand (no changes in the costs for the excursion).
It is not possible to walk on the glaciers during this excursion.
