Ålesund, a coastal town set among fjords and mountains, was rebuilt in distinctive Art Nouveau style after a devastating 1904 fire, making it one of Europe’s most unique towns. On this beginner-friendly e-bike tour, you will explore its architecture and the surrounding nature of western Norway.
The tour begins and ends in Ålesund’s city centre, taking you through its colourful streets. Along the way, you will stop at selected points to explore the surroundings, with insights into the city’s history, architecture, and nearby landscape.
The tour continues up to the Aksla viewpoint (weather permitting), where the Fjellstua café sits on the edge of the cliffs. From here, you will enjoy panoramic views over Ålesund, the fjord, and the surrounding peaks.
The tour is led by experienced guides with strong local knowledge, ensuring a safe and informative experience throughout. It combines architecture and nature in a comfortable way, and thanks to the electric bikes, it is suitable for beginners and families without requiring a high level of fitness.
