Discover two of Hardanger’s most impressive natural attractions on this scenic excursion from Eidfjord. Combining spectacular landscapes with fascinating insights into Norwegian nature, this experience takes you from the interactive Norwegian Nature Centre to the dramatic Vøringsfossen waterfall.
Your journey begins at the Norwegian Nature Centre, where interactive exhibitions introduce you to the geology, climate and natural history of the Hardanger region. You will also experience an impressive panoramic film showcasing the changing seasons and dramatic landscapes of Western Norway.
The journey then continues by bus through the spectacular Måbødalen Valley, climbing through a series of tunnels towards the Hardangervidda plateau. At approximately 750 metres above sea level, you will reach one of Norway’s most famous natural landmarks: Vøringsfossen.
Plunging an impressive 182 metres into the gorge below, Vøringsfossen offers breathtaking views from several viewing platforms. You will also have the opportunity to cross the famous Sky Bridge, a 99-step bridge spanning the gorge and offering spectacular views of the waterfall and surrounding landscape.
With time to explore, take photographs and admire the scenery, this excursion is a great introduction to the dramatic nature of Hardanger and Hardangervidda.
