Experience one of Norway’s most spectacular cable car journeys as you travel from the shores of Nordfjord to the summit of Mount Hoven, 1,011 metres above sea level. In just a few minutes, the Loen Skylift takes you from the peaceful fjord landscape to a dramatic mountain world.
After a short transfer from the pier in Olden, you will board the cable car and begin your ascent. As you rise above the fjord, spectacular views unfold beneath you, revealing steep mountainsides, deep valleys and the shimmering waters of Nordfjord.
At the summit, you will have around two hours to explore at your own pace. Enjoy panoramic views across Nordfjord and Oldedalen, surrounded by dramatic mountain peaks. On clear days, you may also spot Jostedalsbreen glacier, Mount Skåla and the distant Sunnmøre Alps.
Take a leisurely stroll around the summit, capture unforgettable photographs or simply relax and admire the breathtaking scenery. You can also visit the Hoven Restaurant & Bar, where refreshments are available in an exceptional mountain setting.
