The Arctic Wilderness Lodge provides guests with a unique experience in Norway’s high Arctic. You sleep in a river room with private balcony and a mesmerizing panoramic view over the Alta River. The idyllic surroundings make the Wilderness Lodge a one-of-a-kind adventure.
The Arctic Wilderness Lodge accommodates guests with high-quality interior and exterior design. The river room measures 30 square meters and include a private balcony and a panoramic view on the river and the sky. The river rooms are located on the ground floor and have private bathrooms with shower and a sitting area.
The hotel also provides guests with a central common area that consists of a lounge, restaurant and bar with high glass façades offering breath-taking views over the surrounding wilderness. On top of that, you can try some local gastronomy at the gourmet breakfast buffet which offers guests with local ingredients and home-made bread at the Lavvu Restaurant between 8 and 10 am. There is also a gift shop that sells locally crafted products and merchandise.
Guests staying in the Lodge have dinner served in the Maku Restaurant. The menu at Maku changes with the Arctic seasons and brings the finest ingredients gathered from nature's larder into the Arctic Wilderness Lodge, where you will witness our talented chefs create a feast before your eyes from the open kitchen.
Guests are able to use free of charge during the stay:
- Kick-sleds & toboggan sleds (winter & spring)
- Marked hiking trails in the surrounding area (year-round)
