This day excursion from Northern Lights village in Saariselkä offers an opportunity to explore the rich culture and history of the Sámi people. Enjoy a scenic drive by Lake Inari and deepen your understanding of Sámi heritage through an informative visit to the Sámi Siida Museum.
Enjoy a relaxed bus journey from the Northern Lights Village via Ivalo to Inari, passing through picturesque landscapes and traditional village settings. Along the route, there will be a stop at the shores of Lake Inari, offering an opportunity to photograph the scenic surroundings.
A guided tour of the museum offers valuable insight into the history, traditions, and way of life of the Sámi, the indigenous people of Lapland. Following the tour, there is an opportunity to visit a local handicraft shop featuring traditional Sámi-made items and souvenirs.
After lunch at their cosy restaurant, you will take a short walk to the snowy Juutuanjoki River, where the openly flowing rapids carve ornamental patterns into the surrounding ice.
