Taste of the Fjord at Flåm Fjord Farm

Enjoy a 3-course tasting menu at the Fjord Farm in Flåm on a guided food tasting experience. Sample local meats, cheeses, and lapskaus - a classic Norwegian stew - while discovering the stories and heritage behind each flavour.

Your host welcomes you to the fjord farm, where you will be guided through local food traditions and stories in a beautifully restored barn overlooking the fjord. Once seated, your culinary journey begins.

The experience starts with a tasting platter that captures the flavours of Norway, from sea to mountain, on a single board. Enjoy smoked herring from the fjords, cured venison from the highlands, coppa ham, and locally produced goat cheeses, all paired with apple jam from sheltered fjord orchards. This first course reflects the Norwegian tradition of using what nature provides, and is served with apple juice from local orchards.

Next, you will be served lapskaus, a hearty and traditional Norwegian stew. Made with lamb, root vegetables, and garden greens, this dish has been a staple of Norwegian home cooking for generations. It is accompanied by flatbread, a true local classic. The experience concludes with a seasonal dessert, served with tea or coffee.
