This snowmobile safari gives you the chance to ride your own snowmobile on the forest trails around the Santa Claus Village area in Rovaniemi, Finnish Lapland. Enjoy the beautiful wintery scenery whilst driving through the artic snowclad forest. Say hello to the reindeer before returning to Santa Claus Village for a hearty lunch buffet.
After the snowmobile safari you will stop at a local reindeer farm where you get to experience a short but exciting reindeer sleigh ride. Then warm up in the Lappish tepee called “kota”, where hot Lappish berry juice and cookies will be served. Here you will also take part in the mysterious Arctic Circle Ceremony where you will be told the Oldest Legend of Lapland. You will be awarded with the International Reindeer Driving License and the Arctic Circle Crossing Certificate.
You then return to the Arctic Circle, where buffet lunch will be served at Santa Claus Village. After lunch you have free time to visit the Santa Claus Office and meet Santa on your own. There is also time to discover Santa Claus Village, send postcards from Santa’s Post Office and look around in the souvenir shops.
The average speed during the snowmobile tour is limited due to the safety and traffic regulations. Two adults ride on one snowmobile (additional charge applies if you want to ride your own snowmobile). If you wish to ride your own snowmobile, please inform us during the booking process.

Thermal clothing during the safari (thermal overall, boots, gloves, woollen socks, a scarf and helmets), guide, safety instructions, 1 hour visit to the reindeer farm including a short sleigh ride (400 m, about 5 minutes), hot juice and cookies, guided tour and buffet lunch in Santa Claus Village, return transfer from Rovaniemi city centre hotels or Arctic Circle Wilderness Lodge, Arctic TreeHouse Hotel or Apukka Resort.
Special conditions: A minimum of 2 participants. If travelling alone, you can still book this experience as there might be other travellers participating. The driver of a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid T, A or B driver’s license (i.e. car or motorbike). The driving license must be valid in EU countries. This tour is not suitable for pregnant woman.
Weather dependent: All outdoor activities are weather dependent and may be cancelled or replaced by more suitable alternatives should the conditions not permit to run the tour as planned. A full refund will be made for activities cancelled by the supplier due to weather conditions.
