If booking our Tour Category SILVER or GOLD you have the option to upgrade your included hotel in central Rovaniemi to stay in an Aurora Cabin at Apukka Resort for two or more nights. Minimum of 2-3 nights stay depending on season.
Apukka Resort is located in the taiga forest just outside Rovaniemi. A perfect getaway to the Finnish winter wonderland.
In your own private Aurora Cabin Glass Igloo you are always in position to see the sky, providing great opportunities to see the Northern Lights shimmering and dancing above you through the heated panorama glass roof. The Aurora Cabin is equipped with twin beds and a convertable sofa, an electric fireplace and a private bathroom with shower and toilet. The cabin is 29m2 and here you can sleep up to 4 persons.
The onsite restaurant Aitta serves delicious Nordic cuisine with a modern twist, using only local ingredients. In the middle of the restaurant is a huge stone fireplace oven and here they bake buns and braise wonderful stew. The high windows provide excellent views over the lake.
Apukka Resort has 6 saunas, including an ice sauna, igloo sauna and movable saunas. The surrounding area is a true winter wonderland and here you can take advantage of winter activities such as dog sledding, snowmobile safaris, reindeer safaris as well as the heated Snowtrain taking you out through the wintry landscape searching for the Northern Lights.
