3I: The northernmost tram ride in the world

Experience Trondheim in the vintage carriage of the northernmost tram in the world!

A short bus ride brings you to the tram stop in the city center. From there, you travel in a vintage carriage from the 1950s, passing colourful houses and the remnants of the city wall of Trondheim. The Gråkallbanen line has operated since 1924 on 5.4 miles narrow gauge tracks from the city center to the suburbs of Trondheim. You will enjoy a spectacular view of Trondheim before you arrive at Lake Lian (Lianvatnet), the destination of the tram line. You will then board a bus to Munkvoll where you can visit the ski-jumping arena, built for the world championship in 1997.
Afterwards the bus will take you back to the ship via a short drive through the center of Trondheim and a photo stop at the Nidaros Cathedral – Norway’s national shrine. It has a history of over 1,000 years and is the pilgrimage destination of the north due to its location on the grave of Saint Olav.
